The interval of 10 years speaks of a pathetic story of her life. She had 4 abortions even in one of the abortions she aborted twins one boy and 1 girl. May be those were girl sand hence subjected to abortion. In the intervening period she got coper-T. Went to Narwana and took antibiotic from a doctor.

From a BSc Doctor she took medicines for fertility to bear a third child. she got pregnant. Her husband got “desi dawai” so that she can give birth to a son from Kolayat this time. The quack told them not to get u/s done...She delivered. One and half hours after delivery of another girl the mother started to have fits.

No history of fits earlier. She had five fits in the 3 hour journey. On way to Hospital. Went into depression due to birth of girl child third time. Not being able to give her milk to the child. Even she was not able to stand on her own. Baby was being fed packet milk by cotton. At the time when she was interviewed.

This is an amazingly shocking story. I agree with Vijay that if this is done by the principal of school, the future is indeed bleak. I also sympathize with the woman who had made to go through the pains of carrying a child only to see her murdered because of her sex.

This is not as grave a problem across all north India as it is in Haryana, Rajasthan and Punjab. Even Delhi and parts of Western UP. The mindsets of people in those regions must change. This is totally unacceptable and criminal.

All are empowering womanhood in Haryana and other states–The Govt, The NGO’s, The mass organisations etc. , but the results are resulting more discrepencies in sex ratio. Should not we ponder over Why it is so? Are we not a victim of Rhetoric as far as Gender issues are concerned?

Jat buddhi has has made the country lose face whether it it in the UN missions abroad containing Jat army contingents in places like Somalia or in international forums where we talk of social values and condemn practices like female feticide.

We cannot generalise things for one caste as a whole. It is a fenomenon of all upper castes and now percolating to the lower castes also.
